Item Description
Anyone can take a group tour of the United Nations (UN), but they won't get to go where the winning bidder will.
This experience for two people is an escourted tour of the UN Headquarters in New York with a staff member. You will see the sights covered on the official tour such as meeting chambers and gifts to the UN from Member States, but unlike the regular tour...
- You might get to briefly sit in on proceedings and experience simultaneous translation in all six UN languages through those funny earphones. (Depending on the official meetings on the day.)
- If the General Assembly is not in session, you will be able to walk into the chamber and see how the seating order is organized and how countries 'raise their hands' to speak.
- You will also get to Dine like a Delegate, as this item includes a lunch reservation for the daily international buffet at the Delegate's Diningroom. The diningroom has a panoramic view of the East River. (The cost of the buffet is included, but beverages are at your own cost.)
Item Special Note
- This tour will be during weekdays only.
- Exact date to be agreed with your guide.
- Certain dates are blocked out e.g. the UN has its own holidays during which the location is closed. Many of these are not the same as US holidays.
- Expires June 2013.
