College Quest: The Proven Path to Success

Through years of experience in college admissions consulting, Paladin Education Consulting Group has developed and refined a proven model - College Quest - that helps students prepare for college admission and achieve their goals. These packages are designed to help students figure out what is right for them after high school; some students choose 4-year college, 2-year college then transfer, 2-year college, or trade school while others choose to travel or go into the military. Whichever the chosen path, we are here to support the entire family through the process.College Quest starts as early as 7th grade as an academic and mentoring program with Charting the Course. It continues on through the junior and senior year with Destination Success, an admissions navigation program. Personal Path is for college transfer students as well as students that have a specific course in mind.

 1. Charting the Course: Academic Assistance and Mentoring Program, 7th -- 10th Grades

Charting the Course is the precursor of the College Quest program. This critical early phase of college preparation is essential to the college admission results. College Quest helps students master important areas of academic and personal life as they relate to getting into college. This package offers 12-one hour long sessions and unlimited access through phone, text, and/or email. Consultants work with students in areas of: How to earn good grades; Develop solid study habits; Develop routines and a time management system; Set goals; Plan and select courses; Enrichment through summer academic programs; Involvement in volunteer and extracurricular activities; Career exploration; Introduction to the college application process; and The need for a role model, friend, and guide to support your efforts!

 2. Destination Success: Admissions Navigation Program, Junior Year - Acceptance

 Destination Success begins in a student's junior year. This package offers a minimum of 12- one hour long sessions (based on need) and unlimited access through phone, text, and/or email. The program will work on the critical strategies and steps involved in the college admissions process. Within the college planning and college selection process, the consultant and the student will cover the following areas: Introduction: Introduce the college process and time line; Academic Planning: Review of high school courses, grades and future planning; College Search: Develop list of schools within three areas: reach schools, match schools, and safety schools; Self-Assessment: Student self-assessment to start the process of determining the student's needs and wants in order to establish the "best fit"; Admissions Testing: Review types of standardized tests, scoring, and time line; College Application: Filling out applications; Essays: Essay writing process and review; Financial Aid / Scholarships: Process, applications, and time line; Communication: Review resume writing, interviewing skills and social networking; and College Choice: Determining "best fit" school based on acceptance letters, financial aid packages and student needs/wants.

 3. Personal Path: Customized Programs ~ Individualized Attention

 Personal Path knows that some individuals need individualized attention. Paladin Education Group offers flexible, customized programs for students that are focused on single or multiple areas that need support. This program accommodates the college transfer student, the GAP year student, and the high school student that only needs guidance through a couple areas of the college process. Paladin Consultants work with the student and parents to design an individualized curriculum and then implement it based on an hourly rate.
