Item Description

Polymer Clay & Fabric, 10" x 3"

Kerry St. Pierre is a graduate of the Massachusetts College of Art and Design where she received training in sculpture, painting and drawing. Immersed in art since she was a child, it was her mother's soft sculpture dolls and her love of Jim Henson's creatures that inspired her current creations. At first self taught in the art of polymer clay dolls, she has recently honed her skills by studying under famous doll artists, such as Wendy Froud and Jack Johnston. Kerry's one-of-a-kind hand sculpted and costumed dolls allow her to use her imagination to it's fullest. Doll making has become her most challenging form of artistic expression to date. From the building of armatures and sculpting of faces, hands and feet - to the design of their costumes - her dolls are truly unique.
