Explore Outer Banks Nature at it's best as you drive off road into the outback past the road's end. The tour takes you into such areas as the Wild Horse Sanctuary set aside and dedicated for the purpose of habitat enhancement. The horses use the conservation area as it was intended, for their protection, but are frequently seen along the beaches and frolicking in the surf as well. Your guide will tell you about the horses and their history along with some of the colorful local lore and tall tales as well. Unscheduled sightings of many other species of wildlife can and do occur unexpectedly so be prepared to take pictures.
