21 Pradero is a custom built cottage that is very clean, and only 100 feet from the sand of Stinson Beach. The house sleeps six adults very comfortably, and has parking for three cars. The large loft area provides a fun indoor play area for kids in the evenings. Classic board games, sand toys and boogie boards are provided. A large picnic table and BBQ are near the deck in the large front yard. The well equipped kitchen allows for home cooked meals, and a store and three restaurants are only a 5 to 10 minute walk away.

The waves often break for friendly surfing right out in front of the house. A hot outdoor shower is provided. The house is near some of the best hiking, running and mountain biking in the Bay Area (Mt. Tamalpais),and only a 20 minute drive to Muir Woods or to the Point Reyes National Seashore. We have trail maps and guide books to the area.

A wood fireplace is available for colder days (wood provided for your stay), and lounge chairs and a large umbrella for hot sunny days. The large loft area has two twin day beds and a futon couch. The house has custom woodwork throughout and is warm and inviting. A perfect getaway for a family, a couple, or for two or three couples to share for a weekend or a week.

San Francisco is within a 30 minute drive. The city offers world class entertainment, museums and dining. Stinson Beach sits in the middle of The Golden Gate National Recreation Area and the countryside nearby is beautiful open space and coastal ranch land. There are great country roads that lead to outstanding views of the entire San Francisco Bay Area.

Trail runners and hikers will enjoy the outstanding trails that start in town and head into ferns and redwood forests past waterfalls and wildflowers. There are hundreds of miles of exceptional trails that you will often have all to yourself.

There are incredibly beautiful "dog friendly" trails nearby on the Marin Municipal Water District Lands. (map provided)

Stinson Beach is a great vacation destination with a 3 mile sandy beach with gentle surf. It's great for body surfing and swimming. A short but beautiful drive to San Francisco will take you to all that the city has to offer and then back to the small, quiet town of Stinson Beach.

There is a ferry within a 25 minute drive that will take you to San Francisco. They also offer a direct ferry to the San Francisco Giant's Baseball Park. It's a great way to see one of the best ballparks in baseball!

Well-behaved pets are welcome.
