Item Description

A set of ten limited edition greeting cards based on Pat Duggan's oil-on-canvas montage painting, Seabiscuit, packaged in two gift boxes, with five cards per box. The perfect gift for any horse lover, racing fan or local history buff.

Labeled a dreamer throughout her childhood, Pat now endeavors to portray those dreams on paper and canvas.

Graduating from high school with a certificate in Commercial Art, she continued her art training by attending Kent State Universitys renowned school of art and graduating with a B.S. in Art Education. Pat financed her college education by working as a graphic artist for ad agencies, a mural arts company and by doing portraits at local Ohio fairs.

With her background in commercial art, Pat was hired to teach high school Commercial Art classes at Alliance High School in 1973. She completed a Masters Degree at Arizona State University in 1981 and continued teaching both high school and junior high art classes through 1991 when she left the teaching field and returned to working as a freelance artist.

Today, having moved into Fine Arts, Pat has come back to her original passion for drawing and painting animals. A multiple horse owner, Pat is inspired daily by the grace and beauty of these majestic animals and is moved to portray the special magic horses inspire in our souls. Many of her paintings portray horses.

A member of the Simi Valley Art Guild, the Westlake Village Art Guild and the Thousand Oaks Plein Air Watercolorists, Pat exhibits in local art shows and has been a featured artist in solo and group exhibitions at galleries and various local art venues. She continues to expand her art knowledge and mastery through ongoing workshops and study with master painters.

"I was born with the heart of an artist, but it has taken a lifetime to acquire the skills that go with the passion. It is an ongoing quest. My passion for the arts includes not only painting and drawing, but all the arts; dancing, singing, music, drama and writing. I'm still a dreamer."
