Item Description
This art vase was made by Ben Coombs at Casco Bay Glassworks.
This exquisite vase was handmade using the Italian technique, "Incalmo," a process where two separate glass bubbles are joined together. The top is yellow, the middle is red cane, a technique using long pieces of colored glass to create a striped effect, and the foot is yellow. The piece is 15 inches tall.
Ben’s studio is located on Munjoy Hill in Portland, ME and is open to the public. There is a small gallery within the studio, and live glassblowing can be seen almost any time the door is open.
Item Special Note
The winning bidder may pick up these goblets at the Casco Bay Glassworks
studio in Portland, Maine. If the goblets are to be shipped, the winning bidder will cover those costs.
