Item Description

Parent coaching is a commitment to transform parenting from the inside out.

The combination of support and information allows you to make concrete, lasting changes as a parent through awareness, clarity, accountability, and focused, intentional action. As you gain deeper awareness of what does and does not work for your family, you are challenged to apply new skills and implement what does work to experience family peace and harmony.

Amy works with parents and caregivers to experience the simple peace of the present, transform anger (from mild to abusive), and cultivate mutually respectful relationships. Through her continuing commitment to embrace challenges as opportunities, Amy offers a welcome reprieve from the perceived demands and expectations in parenting and life. Along with mothering and meditation, she is gradually completing a bachelor degree in psychology and writes occasionally for Natural Parents Network.

Details and Format

Parent coaching combines private mentoring sessions with daily meditation and healing, access to the Center for Peace, inquiry work, and weekly email support.

Private sessions focus on your needs – right here and now. Each week you are invited to connect with me for a 30 minute session to relax into parenting with meditation, inquiry, and/or ideas to use in your family. Sessions by phone or video chat are scheduled at mutually convenient times through vCita.

Daily meditation is facilitated for everyone in your family at 9am CST or you can access sessions at a time that works for you. Meditation and healing allow you to release stuck emotional baggage, transform it into inner strength, tune into your body and emotions, relax, learn how to respond more intentionally, and receive insight about life experiences.

A valuable part of parent coaching is simple inquiry work. Written exercises help you get clear about what doesn’t work, what you want as a parent and for your family, and how to work towards your parenting goals. Inquiring into your situation in any moment helps you to decide what to do next and gets easier with practice. To find out how it can help you, start with simple inquiry for parents.

Weekly email check-ins provide quick support between sessions. The purpose of parent coaching is for you to experience transformation as a parent and I am here to assist you through email also. Each week you are invited to email me a question or just let me know how things are going. I love to hear about transformation in all of its forms!

Item Special Note

Parent coaching is perfect for…

  • Parents who want support and can utilize it to make lasting changes.
  • Parents who are willing to learn to trust themselves implicitly, implement suggestions, change their perspectives about themselves, their family, and their child permanently.
  • Parents who are willing to transition from punishment to mutually respectful relationship and discipline (art of teaching with wisdom, directly and indirectly).
  • Committed parents who are ready to exchange excuses for action. It’s not that excuses won’t surface; it is that you are willing to work through them to meet your parenting aspirations.
  • Parents who are open minded and willing to relax/inquire/meditate/pray/receive healing daily – if only for a few minutes each day at first as you begin to get into a rhythm that works for you.
