Item Description
Child's high chair hand-painted by Robin Zelenka. Chair is made of solid wood and is 13x14x34.5"H.
Item Special Note
Robin’s inspiration was derived from how as parents we are guardians and protectors of our children and how difficult this can be within the construct of urban living and the influence it can have on our lives. The chair was designed to be an empowerment to the occupant as they will become the future guardians of the city. This theme seemed to be very appropriate to the idea behind the programs and services provided by The Villages.
Biography: Mother of seven, and a May 2011 graduate of Herron with a BFA majoring in both painting and ceramics. Robin recently finished her first year of grad school through the Art Institute of Boston in visual art, and at currently taking a break to focus on work and family.
Materials used: acrylics
