Item Special Note
Jane found inspiration for her chair from kids and their wonderful imaginations.
Biography: Since Jane drew her first Snoopy at age 8 she’s always known that she wanted to be an artist when she “grew up”. Jane studied Visual Communication at the Indiana University Herron School of Art + Design. After earning her BA, Jane went into commercial art, working as a Graphic Designer and Art Director in Indianapolis and Denver. Jane’s designs of publications, corporate identity and direct mail earned her clients and awards, for both advertising agencies and her own creative boutique, the Roberson Group Creative Services, Inc. Jane’s husband is a copywriter and (now) a Professor of Finance at the IU Kelley School of Business.
Jane has spent the better part of the last decade in a very demanding and creative job: being a full-time Mom to her daughter Eve. Eve’s got the creative bug, too: she and Jane created the Leave It to Eve collection of stuffed animals sold in local shops. Jane is currently the Director of Kaleidoscope of Art Studio where she offers art classes to students in grade 1 through 12.
Materials used: acrylic paints, original butterfly/elephant drawing was done in pencil (prints from original used on chair)
