Item Description

This is an adult chair hand-painted by Katrina West from Indianapolis, IN.  The chair is made from solid wood and is 18.25x21x39"H.

Item Special Note

When visiting her Grandmother, Katrina and her siblings would beg, “Grandma, tell us a story.”  The stories Katrina’s Grandmother would tell were of great adventures experienced by fairies, elves and animals.  Katrina loved hearing about their mischievous ways, loyalties, and misfortunes…all of this woven into a wondrous fabric of forest glen and animals sprinkled with fairy dust.  The tales Katrina’s Grandmother would tell have been forgotten, but the memory of listening to them and the magical elements remains.  It was such a special time in Katrina’s childhood, and one she wishes for every child to experience.

Katrina hopes that the future owner of this chair will enjoy it, and hopes it brings back fond memories of time spent with grandparents.

Biography: Katrina West grew up in Central Indiana and has always felt an affinity for the natural landscape.  After graduating from Herron School of Art, Katrina experimented with abstract and expressionist painting through the Avant Garde Art World.  When she moved out West she returned to focusing on landscape and capturing the beauty of the world around her.  Katrina recently moved back to Indiana and wants her new work to the experiences and places she’s seen.
