Since the 16th century, lovers of fine books have had their favorite works hand-bound into beautiful works of art. The winner of this package can select a favorite book or a collection of favorite photos, momentos or even that unpublished novel for hand binding in leather and silk in a unique and personalised design by artistic bookbinder Carla Ciminera. This luxuriously bound work is sure to be an instant family heirloom!
The winning bidder has two options:
1. Select a a favorite book, old or new, to turn into a keepsake: a favorite author or a childhood favorite might be great choices. If the original book is a soft cover, then this cover will still be in place inside the custom designed new hard cover. In the case of hard cover books, the hard cover will be removed if it is of no particular value, or if the hard cover is valuable and integral to the book, then the bookbinder will create a beautiful customized box that will cover and protect the original volume.
2. The bookbinder will create a new book for them of photos, momentos or even that newly penned novel. The winner bidder sends a disk of photos or original photos/momentos/works to the bookbinder where they will be published and bound into a beautiful and unique work of art.
Item Special Note
Winner is responsible for Shipping and Handling fees, which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped via USPS and billed at standard industry rates.
