Winning bidder receives a reproduction of "Red Pick-up," a painting by Peter Hurd (1904-1984).
The original "Red Pick-up," painted in egg tempura in the early 1950s and copyrighted in 1967 by artist Peter Hurd, was given to New Mexico State University (NMSU) in 1987 by General Hugh Milton. The gift was made in recognition of the university's centennial, 1888-1988. The original painting is on permanent display at the home of the NMSU president on the Las Cruces campus. The winning bidder receives a reproduction of the unique painting.
