Item Description

Original linocut by St. John artist, Janet Cook-Rutnik.  Print number 3 from a series of 8. Inspired by the short story "No One Writes the Colonel Anymore" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez.  Print size 9" x 8.5" on 14.5" x 14" paper.

Janet Cook-Rutnik has been a St. John artist since 1969. Her extensive resume includes regional, national and international museum and gallery exhibitions and she was a first-prize winner in the 1999 Caribbean Colours show. Her work may be seen in her Guavaberry Farms studio and at Frames of Mind on St.John and in galleries on Anguilla, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. Cook-Rutnik has represented the Virgin Islands in museum exhibitions in Washington D.C., Germany, France, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Ecuador.
