Item Description

What can you do with that one skein of yarn in your stash?  You know, that gorgeous yarn you fell in love with at the store but there was only one skein, or that single lovely skein you found in the sale basket, or that leftover skein from another knitting project?  From sock-weight to bulky-weight, variegated to single color, one skein can make a gorgeous scarf, shawlette, or cowl.  Come see what lovely treasures you can create from that one skein that will grace your neck keeping it warm and looking beautiful this winter.  

Each student will receive a variety of patterns from which they will choose one to begin working on in class.  Projects  will be completed at home. 

instructor:  Bonnie Klatt is a fiber artist with a passion for color and texture and a special interest in the connection between art and spirituality.  She enjoys helping people rediscover their creative selves.  Through her business, Hands of Grace, she weaves and knits on commission and sells her work locally through The Copper Shop on the Roycroft Campus in East Aurora, NY.  Bonnie is an experienced teacher offering workshops and retreats in knitting, weaving, spirituality, and creativity-related topics.

Item Special Note

Date: Saturday, February 2, 2012

Time: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM                                                   

Location: Aurora Waldorf School, 525 West Falls Road, West Falls, NY 14170 (minutes from East Aurora and Orchard Park)

Age restrictions:  Class is for teenage through adult. 

Prerequisite:  Knowledge of basic knitting skills required for this class, such as: casting on, the knit and purl stitches, knit 2 together, yarn over, binding off. 

Bring your favorite odd skein(s) or approximately . 200-300 yards of sock-weight, worsted-weight or bulky yarn.  Knitting needles size US 9, 10, or 10-1/2.  

Bring a lunch.

You must bring your email receipt to the first class for admittance.  Receipts are emailed within 2 business days of your purchase.

In the event the class needs to be cancelled for any reason (weather, instructor illness) the instructor will contact you and every effort will be made to reschedule to accommodate all participants’ schedules.
