Item Description
Seabiscuit Winner's Circle Photos (reproduction): 1938 Hollywood Gold Cup with Seabiscuit and George Woolf up, and Santa Anita Handicap - The Seven Hundred Granders
"SEABISCUIT : In Winning the First Hollywood Gold Cup in 1938, he etched memories as lasting as his statue of bronze. In the summer of 1936, "a lean, tired, sore-kneed horse," came into the possession of two men. In the summer of 1938, that same horse won the first running of the Hollywood Gold Cup." - GRAHAME L. JONES
Own museum-quality archival reproductions of two photos of Seabiscuit's most memorable moments: winning the very first 1938 Hollywood Gold Cup with George Woolf up, C.S. Howard (owner) and Tom Smith (trainer), and and winning the 1940 Santa Anita Handicap, earning Seabiscuit (with John Pollard up) a place among the winners of the "hundred grander". The victory made Seabiscuit the biggest money-winning horse of his day.
