Nana Writes Books; Grandkids Do Too! is a great ”how-to”  book--in Nana-sized print--that enables grandmothers and their grandchildren to write books together. It contains step-by-step directions and activities for the duo to spend some fun time creating a fiction book.

The coloring page at the beginning of each chapter provides enjoyment for the child and a discussion opportunity for learning the vocabulary involved in creating a book.

Nana and her grandchild will have great memories of a special time spent together and enjoy the bonus of having created a legacy item for each of them when they're finished!

Margaret O'Connell is a happily retired teacher. As a reading specialist, she worked with hundreds of students for more than 25 years to help them improve their reading skills by writing their own books. The children wrote group books, round robin books, brochure books, shape books and partner books. They worked up to writing their own little books. While they focused on writing and creating their stories, they read and reread their “literary creations” and improved their reading skills along the way!

The same will be the case when you work on a book with your grandchild. Enjoy!

If you bid on a tangible item, we’ll mail your item the week after the close of the auction on November 18. We will add $4.99 to your charge for shipping and handling for small items and $9.99 for larger items. You’ll be charged the actual shipping price on items of significant weight. We will mail these the least expensive way available from the United States Post Office (i.e., media mail for books and magazines), with delivery confirmation. Global Light Media will pack each item with care but is not responsible to donors or bidders for lost or damaged materials.

Any product proven defective will be replaced with a product of equal or better quality at no cost to the bidder. We guarantee bidders will be sent all items they won. We do not guarantee shipping delivery times.

While Global Light Media is not liable for anything beyond our control that occurs as a result of the auction, the company will reimburse any bidder who does not receive an item or experience that fulfills the description on the auction site for the amount paid to Global Light Media through the site.
