Item Description
With this package you'll receive two tickets to two downtown theater favorites this Spring: Target Margin's The Haunted Inn and New Georges' Goldor $ Mythyka: A Hero is Born.
In Target Margin's The Haunted Inn: The shtetl turns uncanny in Hirschbein’s classic of Yiddish life. You might be expecting the farm life, the chicken-plucking and the arranged marriage, but not the S&M lust and the body-snatching wedding guests. The Haunted Inn was an early touchstone for experimental theater in Yiddish, a sensation in Vilna, in London and in a 1917 New York production. This play is a perfect example of why we at TMT believe Yiddish drama is a innovative and challenging as any in the world. It’s Tevye on drugs. Watch out. Runs March 7-30, 2013 at Abrons Arts Center.
You'll then receive two tickets to Lynn Rosen's Goldor $ Mythyka: A Hero is Born, directed by Shana Gold, to run April 1-27 at The New Ohio Theatre. In the show, young Bart and Holly escape the dreary reality of hauling money all day in armored transport vehicles by playing Dungeons & Dragons. When jobs are lost and the boss starts looking at Holly funny, escape becomes reality, releasing their alter egos Goldor & Mythyka upon the world!
