This is a package of 25 one-year teacher development scholarships from The International Teacher Development Institute (iTDi) for educators working in the developing world.
These one-year in-service scholarships given in your name and delivered by iTDi will provide hope, empowerment, and ongoing support for 25 teachers working in basic conditions as they develop the skills, technical ability, and confidence needed to join the international community of educators. Thanks to you, 25 village-based teachers in the developing world will be able to complete a full year of professional training within the iTDi community – a community built around the belief that all teachers matter, that every teacher has the potential of becoming a leader for other teachers, and that by developing this potential we can truly change the world, one teacher, one school, one community at a time.
The International Teacher Development Institute (iTDI) is an online community of educators whose mission is to provide quality professional teacher development and empowerment for all teachers everywhere. We work with teachers from 94 countries around the world who have not had the opportunity for professional development because of economic, political, or social conditions. We provide these teachers with online courses, a caring community of practice, and opportunities to become leaders in their own communities as well as in the international community. We believe that the best way to change the world for the better is to provide quality education for all learners. The best way to do this is to give all teachers the opportunity to become the best teachers they can be. If we do this, we really can change the world. If you bid on a tangible item, we’ll mail your item the week after the close of the auction on November 18. We will add $4.99 to your charge for shipping and handling for small items and $9.99 for larger items. You’ll be charged the actual shipping price on items of significant weight. We will mail these the least expensive way available from the United States Post Office (i.e., media mail for books and magazines), with delivery confirmation. If you’re concerned about shipping costs, please contact auction@theoptimist.com for a quote.
Global Light Media will pack each item with care but is not responsible to donors or bidders for lost or damaged materials.
Any product proven defective will be replaced with a product of equal or better quality at no cost to the bidder. We guarantee bidders will be sent all items they won. We do not guarantee shipping delivery times.
While Global Light Media is not liable for anything beyond our control that occurs as a result of the auction, the company will reimburse any bidder who does not receive an item or experience that fulfills the description on the auction site for the amount paid to Global Light Media through the site.
