Item Description

The Providence Athenaeum is an independent membership library that opened on Benefit Street in 1838; its progenitor was an earlier library, The Providence Library Company, founded in 1753. The Athenaeum's mission is to provide books and other materials to all, of any age, who love reading, appreciate literature, and enjoy cultural discovery. The Athenaeum's collections and historic building are maintained in the spirit of its founders in order to enrich the lives of all who enter its granite walls.

Item Special Note

This membership can only be redeemed by someone not currently a member of the Athenaeum. Current Athenaeum members can purchase the membership as a gift for someone not currently a member, but a current member cannot redeem the membership for his or her own use.

This item can be picked up at the French-American School of Rhode Island, 75 John Street, Providence, RI 02906. 

If you are unable to pick up the item, you are responsible for Shipping and Handling fee, which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped via USPS and billed at standard industry rates.
