Item Description
(Necedah, WI) You’ve heard of the famous (and extremely rare) whooping cranes – those birds raised in captivity then trained by ultralight aircraft to migrate. The birds were reintroduced in the Necedah Wildlife Refuge, where they nest. Noted naturalist Charlie Luthin, former executive director of the Natural Resources Foundation of Wisconsin, offers you a unique guided tour of the Refuge, where in addition to possibly spotting the cranes, you’ll see a wide array of migratory waterfowl and endangered species. This tour is available during the spring migration when birding is glorious.
With Charlie, you’ll see aspects of the Refuge you can’t see on your own, and have access to one of Wisconsin’s most knowledgeable naturalists about Necedah. One night stay at B&B Fountain Chateau and lunch with Charlie is part of the package.
Item Special Note
Donor will coordinate directly with winning bidder. Tour is available during spring migration 2013.
