Item Description
Flying highest in the sky of all birds, Eagle inspires and thrills all who see him. Considered the most powerful and influential totem. Kwahu, the Eagle Dancer Kachina, bridges the spiritual and mortal realms. Kachinas personify the invisible life forces, important ancestors and animals.
Magnificent and revered, ruler of the sky and heavenly messenger - Eagle is highly honored in many indigenous cultures, and signifies struggle between celestial/spiritual and lower worlds. Native Americans, particularly the Hopi, Pueblo and Navajo tribes, considered Eagle to be a deity. Pueblo Indians believed Eagle was able to spiral upward and pass through a hole in the sky to the home of the sun. Living in the full light of the sun, linked with the invisible powers of the sky and the Sun, linking the elements of Air and Fire, Eagle was believed to be an etheric world guide who gives psychic information and guidance. Tribal prayers and dancers sought Eagle’s assistance to take prayers to the spirit world for healing, rain, strength, and to live better lives.
