Item Description

This item is a STUNNING petit point needlepoint work created by artist / supporter JoAnne Schweiger.   This needlepoint features two women (possibly gossiping?) standing in front of a beautiful southern mansion.  The trees on the Southern Belle picture are "long stitched" to give an almost 3D effect.  It definitely gives the picture dimension and texture.

This artwork has never been displayed and the colors are bright and vibrant.

This needlepoint took approximately 6 months to complete working a couple of hours per day on the piece. The method of needlepoint is called "Petit Point." This is a much finer stitch than regular needlepoint and allows much finer detail.

The frame is a beautiful wood, and the glass is UV protected / non-glare. To clean the glass - spray a paper towel and starting in the middle work out to the edges in a circular motion. This will prevent glass cleaner from seeping behind the glass and onto the actual picture.

Dimensions of this piece framed are 20" wide and 17" high. The needlepoint itself is 17.75" wide and 13.75" high.
