Item Description
A case (12 bottles) of three premium wine varieties made from grapes grown on the original Ridgewood Ranch, SeabiscuitâTMs retirement home in Mendocino County.
Seabiscuit Ranch wines have been produced by a small family owned winery for 15 years, and are available in selected national markets. This prize includes 12 bottles (750 mL) comprised of 4 bottles each of 3 premium varieties:
- Chardonnay, 2011 vintage. A full flavored wine with crisp apple and pear aroma and flavors, supported by toasty oak from barrel fermentation.
- Merlot, 2010 vintage. A robust style red wine full of red ripe fruit flavors of plums, berries and currants.
- Superfecta Meritage 2010 vintage, a red Bordeaux blend of four varieties, 66% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, blended with Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Superfecta is the horse betting term for the finishing order of top four horses in a great horserace, and here refers to the use of four varieties of grapes to make a great wine.
