ABOUT MARTHA'S VINEYARD

Populated with New England sea captains' homes, with white picket fences surrounding an authentic working harbor, Martha's Vineyard is known for its combination of artsy culture and New England charm.

The six towns of the island - Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, Aquinnah, Chilmark and West Tisbury - retain their own character and style. The "down island" towns of Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown are shopping havens with attractions and restaurants to suit every taste. Oak Bluffs is home to the Flying Horses Carousel, the oldest working platform carousel in the country, as well as the famous Gingerbread Cottages. The "up island" towns of Menemsha, Chilmark and Aquinnah are quaint, quiet places reminiscent of the island's maritime past. From the Edgartown Scrimshaw Gallery to the Scottish Bake House to the pristine beaches and cliffs of Aquinnah, Martha's Vineyard is an island with something for everyone.

ABOUT NANTUCKET

Coming from the yacht filled harbor onto Straight Wharf, cobblestone streets pave a path through downtown Nantucket including  historic sites, a wealth of upscale shopes and restaurants to suit every palate.

The coastline of Nantucket, from Madaket Beach to the Coskata-Coatue Wildlife Refuge is lined with beaches and bike trails galore. Surfside Beach provides the waves for bodysurfing and the wind for kite flying, while Children's Beach is perfect for families. These beaches are accessible by shuttle or bike trail.
