Item Description

E.I. Fly™1x: Beginner Fly Fishing

This class is designed for those who have a general curiosity about fly-fishing.  The class is taught on land and we review rod set-up/balance, casting theory-instruction, and casting drills & skills.  At our casting pond, you will learn how to roll cast, false cast, shoot line, create tight and open loops, and much more.  The class is easily accessible and if more convenient, can be taught in a variety of locations (i.e. work, home, park, etc).  

Maximum 2 hours and ideal for 1-4 students. Age Requirements, 12 years and up, under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.

Equipment Needed: polarized sunglasses, hat, and camera. If you have your own fly rod and accessories, please feel free to bring them.

About Your Instructor:

At age 29, Mark Foley spent one year hiking and fishing the Andes Mountain Range.  He is a former Argentina fly-fishing lodge manager, a licensed NH guide, certified fly fishing instructor for the NH Fish & Game, the Phillips Exeter Academy Outdoor Challenge instructor and fly-fishing adviser, and a Boy Scouts of America Merit Badge Counselor.  He is a life member of Trout Unlimited and Federation of Fly Fishers and is certified in CPR and First Aide.
