Item Special Note
Jim Thompson started in the crafts business in 1976 making Brazilian agate wind chimes. He first came up with the idea of using semiprecious stones to create lids for burl wood boxes in 1980. Over the years he continued to develop and refine his technique, adding such improvements as the hand-shaped "lip" that makes lifting the lid easier.
