Item Description

This charming necklace is made of a hand cast glass bead and hand patinaed bronze.  The piece wouldn't be complete without the story behind it, which is included on a small card that reads:

"Toomer's Corner Live Oaks ~ Auburn University was the proud home of two 130 year old oak trees.  Steeped in tradition, the oak trees are a symbol of Auburn pride.  The Auburn community gathers under the Toomer's oak trees to celebrate big wins. Sadly, these trees were poisoned with a lethal dose of tebuthiuron, an herbicide.  This collection is made from actual leaves from those trees in honor of them and the great institution that is Auburn University."

Handmade in the U.S.A.
