Item Description
This 15" x 11" inch serving platter is made of Czech porcelain, fired in the U.K., and features artwork by noted artist Richard Bramble. The text on the platter reads "'Homarus americanus' Lobster is a crustacean of the primitive order of decapods living on rocky sea beds. Found on the Atlantic coast of North America they are caught with baited traps. Olive green to reddish brown, varying according to habitat, they turn red when cooked."
Item Special Note
From a tiny red cabin nestled in amongst cypress trees and a timeless pond, a family dreamed up the idea to capture America's most pristine treasures through art and porcelains. Hence, Red Cabin was born. Our ceramics are manufactured by Jersey Pottery on the small Island of Jersey off the coast of France using the finest Czech porcelains. By traveling from the rugged outback of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in California to the sea side villages of Massachusetts, Mr. Bramble observed the species painted in their natural environment, enabling him to capture the unique beauty only seen by personal encounters.
