Item Description

This 15 inch x 11 inch Czech porcelain platter was fired in the U.K. and is dishwasher, microwave, oven and freezer safe. Text on the platter reads: "‘Thymallus arcticus’  Grayling return in spring to clear cold streams for spawning.  They have sail-like dorsal fins with iridescent spots and are rarer cousins of trout.  The North American Arctic and European (Thymallus thymallus) are similar, with schooling tendencies."

Item Special Note

From a cabin nestled in amongst cypress trees and a timeless pond, a family dreamed up the idea to capture America's most pristine treasures through art and porcelains.  Hence, Red Cabin was born.  Our ceramics are manufactured by Jersey Pottery on the small Island of Jersey off the coast of France using the finest Czech porcelains.  By traveling from the rugged outback of the Sierra Nevada Mountain Range in California to the sea side villages of Massachusetts, Mr. Bramble observed the species painted in their natural environment, enabling him to capture the unique beauty only seen by personal encounters.
