Party of One...Your Table is Ready Rich Berry's Second CD (2005)
This CD is mostly acoustic guitar/harmonica
"The songs and sounds of the old legendary blues men with the Rich Berry twist. Amazing, hypnotizing, and driven. You need to check him out;"

"Man with guitar and harmonica facing the world and giving it his all. Rich Berry carries on the proud tradition of the traveling minstrel…singer, songwriter, musician and storyteller, Rich drives his point across with power and authority. The musicianship here is flawless and the arrangements are beautifully done. Rich recently won the solo/duo category of the competition held by the Blues Society of the Ozarks and will represent them in Memphis in February. Sounds to me like a wise choice. Sounding a lot like a combination of acoustic Delta Blues and good, old-fashioned folk, Rich manages to deliver his music without pretense or games. Rich is the real deal, implementing elements of the music he loves into his own distinct style. He's not making an attempt to copy the elder blues masters or those more contemporary, like Bob Dylan. "What really made the evening a five-star experience for me though was the music of Rich Berry. If you're an acoustic blues fan, I'd highly recommend checking out what he's doing. It's always great to find a restaurant that supports musicians like Rich.
Something about that line “played and sung by ordinary people” really symbolizes what the blues means to me and Rich really embodies that. He’s an ordinary guy, he sings about ordinary themes, but there’s something extraordinary about what he does. I had a great chat with him after his set and was truly humbled by his stories. He told me that he’s working with the board of tourism for the state of Mississippi to discuss placement opportunities for one of his songs. I hope that works out for him! Hell, I think they should toss out “Go, Mississippi” in favor of one of his tunes. But that’s just me. See what you think. I’ve included a clip one of Rich’s songs called “Headin’ South on a Delta Breeze” below for your streaming pleasure."

"When you think about Kansas City, what first comes to your mind may be good barbeque. Well, in addition to good barbeque, there also happens to be a bluesman there who can play and sing traditional folk blues who just might surprise you. Rich Berry has played music regionally for over 40 years and he’s lately been on the move to perhaps become a national act. He participated in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2009 in addition to playing a lot of festivals over the last few years. His style is traditional acoustic blues and his stated and obvious influences were the masters of the Mississippi Delta and Chicago blues."

"Rich Berry is known primarily as a regional blues musician in the Kansas City area. Rich, if you were to meet him personally, is much more than that. Not only is he a super nice guy but his music is very personal and accessible. Mixing blues with a down home back porch folk style, his music sets in a comfortable groove that’s perfect for a warm summer day outside with a cold beverage and some barbeque.
“His mixture of folk styled blues is set apart from many other aspiring acoustic acts I've heard these days. He's unpretentious and doesn't try to cop any other style but his own. He pulls from his obvious folk roots with lyrics and then blends in his heavily delta-flavored and blues-informed guitar style. He's simply a great man with great music who's along for the journey of where his music will take him.”
