"For Persis Clayton Weirs, becoming a wildlife artist seemed only natural. Born on an island off the coast of Maine and residing in New England her entire life, Weirs has always been surrounded by beautiful scenery and bountiful wildlife. Weirs is known for her extraordinary ability to paint both domestic and wild animals. Her original works, which are featured in some of the most prominent museums and celebrated private collections across the country, were selected to go on an international tour to Beijing, China."
This print, 'Creekside - Whitetail Deer,' depicts a male whitetail deer with large antlers and his female companion standing next to a creek in a snowy woodland setting. It is professionally framed in medium-brown oak, and double-matted in pale gray heather with a darker slate gray accent. The print alone measures 15.5" wide by 31" high, and the total framed dimensions are 27" wide by 31" high. It would make a wonderful gift for any wildlife enthusiast or someone who loves the great outdoors.
This print is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, which reads:
