Item Description

Enjoy dinner for two at the Red Rooster Restaurant, valued up to $100.

Signed copy of "Yes, Chef: A Memoir" - It begins with a simple ritual: Every Saturday afternoon, a boy who loves to cook walks to his grandmother’s house and helps her prepare a roast chicken for
dinner. The grandmother is Swedish, a retired domestic. The boy is Ethiopian and adopted, and he will grow up to become the world-renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson. This book is his love letter to food and family in all its manifestations.

Excerpts from the New York Times:

Mr. Samuelsson is the winner of the last “Top Chef Masters,” guest chef for the first state dinner of the Obama administration, and a city fixture who made his bones at Aquavit, where he took over the kitchen in 1995 and is still a part owner. The executive chef at Red Rooster will be Andrea Bergquist, whose résumé includes Tabla, Gramercy Tavern and Merkato 55. ... Red Rooster is about “affordable, well-executed food.”
