Item Description
The restaurant closed in 1991, but key fixtures and many pieces of furniture were left on site. All the walls and woodwork have been cleaned and refinished, and missing or unsalvageable items have been replaced with new period pieces. Original menus, matchbooks, coat-check tickets and other momentos -- many provided by former customers -- will be on display.
Leading the kitchen will be executive chef Robert Scherer, 26, a Grosse Pointe Woods native who previously was executive sous chef at Emeril Lagasse's New Orleans Fish House at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
