This is a great opportunity for yourself, or as a gift for someone you care about, whether you are looking to:
¿ begin or re-start an exercise program,
¿ change up an existing routine,
¿ focus on improving fitness in light of particular medical conditions, or
¿ take your already high athletic performance to another level.
Your hour and a half 1-on-1 session begins with a brief discussion of your exercise history, relevant medical conditions, and fitness goals. We then warm up, conduct a short fitness level assessment and then go through a full-body workout. This workout is custom designed for you to conduct later on your own and is documented in writing and with photos as needed for your convenience.
Your coach is Dave Ruef, an experienced “master level” trainer with New York Sports Club (NYSC) in Hoboken, who also works with private clients in town, where he resides. Dave’s wife, Karen, and he support the Historical Museum as benefactors. Dave has helped hundreds of individuals of all ages and fitness levels to achieve a healthier lifestyle and meet challenging performance goals. Where does your training session take place? If you are a member of NYSC, the workout can take place there. If your home building has a gym, that will work fine, too. If all you have is your apartment, despair not! If we can move some furniture to create a 10 x 10 foot or larger space, Dave will bring a mat and basic equipment such as elastic tubing, a medicine ball, a couple light dumbbells, and a blow-up stability ball (all can be purchased inexpensively on your own for future use), but many exercises just use body weight and no equipment.
