Depoe Bay has the smallest natural navigable harbor in the world consisting of six square acres. Enthusiasts can enjoy fishing, whale watching, and a variety of outdoor pursuits. Outdoor activities in the area include a variety of water activies, as well as horseback riding, hiking, golfing, and of course, whale watching. In addition, you also have easy access to the beautiful antique stores, museums, an aquarium, a theatre, casinos, and historical lighthouses.

From a private balcony, experience a gorgeous 180 degree panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean and Depoe Bay. The unit is equipped with the comfortable amenities, including: a gas fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and dishwasher,cable TV with DVD player, stereo system with CD player, gas barbecue, and a washer and dryer. You will also have access to the resort's three indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spas; as well as a tennis court, exercise room, and a recreation center.
Your visit to the “Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast” is sure to be a memorable one. There is a resident pod of grey whales which makes its home off Depoe Bay from March through December. You can see these whales from either the new Whale Watch Center, the many shore observation spots, or a charter boat.
Depoe Bay is the only town on the coast to have a sea wall running the length of downtown, allowing visitors to shop and dine within view of the ocean. Waves run beneath lava beds and build pressure to spout water as high as 60 feet into the air. These are known as spouting horns and are visible during turbulent seas and stormy weather. The seawall does not permit direct beach access from the resort. A short drive (5 miles) north leads to Gleneden Beach with good beach access and ample parking.
* There are two options in 2013 to plan your vacation.
- Option One: Friday, May 3rd through Friday, May 10th. You will have a full three-bedroom condo, which can sleep eight or six privately. The owners will provide a map of the area with highlights. The use of a rental car is suggested.
- Option Two: Friday, August 2nd through Friday, August 9th. You will have a two-bedroom unit that accommodates up to six people or four privately. The owners of the property, Oregon natives offer to serve as your guides. They have offered to pick you up at Portland International Airport and return you to the airport.
Either option will allow you to experience the grandeur of the Oregon Coast.

Pets are not allowed in the units or on the resort property. Parking is limited to individual autos. Reacreational Vehicles, boats, buses, and other oversized modes of transportation must be parked outside the resort at the owners’ expense.
ABSENTEE BIDDING
Absentee bidding is available by contacting the Glaucoma Research Foundation office before January 28th, 2013 at 5 PM PST. All bids should state the highest bid price you or another bidder is willing to pay. A personal representative will be assigned to assist you the evening of the Silent Auction, and will try to bid just as you would, with the goal of obtaining the item at the lowest bid price possible. Absentee bids shall be in competition with all other auction bidding. Auction winner is responsible for shipping and handling fees, which will be added to the winning bid amount. The certificate to redeem this item will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail unless bidder chooses UPS two-day service option, and billed at standard industry rates.
