Themes of Bill Iaculla's work are derived from his Italian family roots:
the remote town of Ricigiano, Italy. The town dates from 1320BC,
inhabited in turn by Greeks, Etruscans, and Romans. It's history is filled
with classical art, a region rich in mosaics. Bill studied at Chicago's Art
Insitutue, the American Academy of Art, and graduated from De Paul
University. The University's Art Museum now has a number of his sculpures
in it's permanent collection after they gave him a one man
show in 2007.
In California, Bill studied at San Jose State University
and Foothill College.
Bill was a long time faculty member teaching
sculpture at the Pacific Art
League and received in 1997 the League's
Distinguished Service Award.
