Item Special Note
Thursday-Sunday during July and August the Carillon will depart at 1:00pm from our dock at Larrabee's Point in Shoreham. During Foliage season (Sept. 15 - Oct. 15) the Carillon will sail at 1:00pm on Thursdays-Sundays from our dock at Shoreham. Enjoy a historical narrative by the Captain during this 1.5 hour trip past Fort Ticonderoga, Mount Defiance, and Mount Independence. On this cruise we will see Hand's Cove where Ethan Allen and the Green Mountain Boys staged their attack on Fort Ticonderoga on May 10, 1775, the first offensive victory of the Revolution. Then we will see where Samuel de Champlain fought the Iroquis during his discovery of Lake Champlain. Do you know who was the inventor of the fishing lure? What are the implications of driving on the ice on Lake Champlain and who do you call if your car falls through? There are so many colorful characters along the lake and we will share many of their stories with you. We often see Bald Eagles and Osprey. And of course, we always keep our eye out for Champ, the Lake Champlain monster.
