How will you spend your three glorious days on Lax Lake? Your choices include - but are not limited to - canoeing, fishing, hiking, kayaking, and of course, relaxing. The cabin, at the end of a quiet lane, offers canoes, kayaks, a paddle boat, and plenty of fish just waiting to be caught. The two docks allow you to designate one for splashless sunning or novel reading, and one for busy activity. Gather around the fire pit in the evening for marshmallows and your favorite beverages. If you go during the winter, opt for snowy treks on skis, snow shoes, or ice skates, followed by lots of hot cocoa. The place is simply spectacular when covered with a downy blanket of snow.

Bring the whole gang; this quaint rustic cabin on private property contains two bedrooms that sleep 4, and there's also space for up to 4 more, including the comfy futon on the porch. Fear not: 'rustic' means unencumbered, but NOT uncivilized - there's running water, electricity and heat.

Located on the North Shore about an hour north of Duluth and approximately 11 miles inland from Lake Superior, the property borders Tettagouche State Park. If you choose to tear yourself away from the lake, you'll have access to miles of hiking in Tettagouche and on the Superior Hiking Trail. And about 5 miles away, you'll find the Baptism River and Illgen Falls. You'll have plenty to do (or not) for three great lazy days and 2 cozy nights.
