Item Description
This IS your next vacation. You just have to decide when you want to travel. Hmmm... winter or summer? summer or winter? Flip a coin - you can't go wrong with a gorgeous four bedroom townhome in Steamboat Springs Colorado! Choose from a one week stay in January 2014, or a ten day stay during the summer of 2013. Decisions, decisions...
Your 4 bedroom Alpine Vista Townhome has 5 baths and sleeps 8-10 adventurers. It's located on the mountain less than one mile from the gondola base. Walk out your door to the free City Shuttle and you're at the mountain in minutes. Relax after a long day in the living room and enjoy the view of Mt. Werner; watch the sun set and the Alpine Glow. This townhome is well appointed with plenty of room in the open living/great room, and fully furnished with all the comforts of home.
Check it out - Steamboat Springs earned its name from one of the natural hot springs that 'chugs' like- you guessed it - a steamboat. The spring is still there, along with 150 other local hot springs for you to enjoy.
And Steamboat is where the term 'Champagne Powder' was coined; they average 333 inches of snow per ski season. Try Howelsen Ski Area as well as Steamboat Springs Ski Resort. You'll find downhill and cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, tubing, sleigh riding, and of course, relaxing in a hot tub.
The Rockies are just as spectacular during the summer, and there's a ton of activity in Steamboat to keep you busy: try mountain biking on 3,000 acres of outrageous terrain or kayak the roaring Yampa River. Fish on one of the many rivers and creeks or hike one of the National Forest trails in the area. Drink in the crisp air and the beautiful mountain scenery. Ahhh, now THIS is a vacation!
