Dr. Karin Edwards Bio:
Dr. Karin Redekopp Edwards, professor of piano at Wheaton College, performs frequently in Canada and the U.S. as guest artist with orchestra, in recital, on television and national radio, and as a member of the duo piano team, Redekopp and Edwards. The duo has performed concerts in the United States, Canada, England, Japan and South Korea and on ³Live from WFMT: the Fazioli Salon Series.² In 2011 Dr. Edwards was invited to teach and to perform concerts in China and Laos. The tour included a concert for the American Ambassador to Laos with 80 foreign diplomats and Embassy staff.
Dr. Edwards holds the BMus degree from the University of Manitoba and the MM and DM degrees from Indiana University. As a collaborative performer, she has toured South Africa, Israel, Europe, England, Canada and the U.S. and has appeared as guest pianist at chamber music festivals, with broadcasts on National Public Radio. She is featured in a solo CD recording, on a CD of Canadian artists, and on two duo-piano CDs ³Two Piano Tapestry: Redekoppand Edwards² and ³The Mennonite Piano Concerto².
