Chattanooga Artist, Ann Nichols, is a contemporary realist painter who works in the medium of oil. Her still-lifes range from large complex grouping of flowers, fruit, vegetables, boxes and textiles assembled in an altar-like setting to a small-scale paintings of a single object placed on a miniature marble pedestal.

Ms Nichols received her BFA degree in painting from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and has mounted solo exhibitions at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden in New York City; the Cobb Museum in Marietta, Georgia; the Tennessee Arts Commission Gallery in Nashville, Tennessee; the Creative Arts Guild in Dalton, Georgia; and the Hunter Museum of American Art in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is the arts writer for the Chattanooga Time Free Press and is a visual arts panelist for the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts.
