Item Description
The winner will receive this Maxfield Parrish: Cleopatra print.
Acclaimed American illustrator Maxfield Parrish (1877 – 1966) created romanticized images aglow with magical colors and light. Learning to draw while recovering from typhoid fever, Parrish was inspired by the Old Masters and Pre-Raphaelites. He painstakingly created historic and romantic scenes using a geometric format called Dynamic Symmetry, and his brilliant colors were so admired that one was named “Parrish Blue” in his honor. For four decades, Parrish illustrated publications, ads, calendars and greeting cards. He single-handedly shaped the Golden Age of Illustration, and no other major artist has successfully copied his techniques.
Image is approximately 13.5" x 12" - it does have the curved edges like in picture. But does not have the border.
