About Paradise Island 

Atlantis is located on Paradise Island, one of the beautiful Bahamian isles yet one with a colorful past. Originally discovered by Christopher Columbus, it was a haven for the infamous Blackbeard and other pirates in the 1700s, and a refuge for Loyalists during the Revolutionary War.
