Item Description
What many didn't know was that The Smith Center's grand opening was a culmination of eighteen years of dreams and desire that refused to die. From the earliest recognition of the void in our culture that The Smith Center now fills, to a bumpy road of financing, donations, and important partnerships, this dream in the desert persevered.
And now, even from a distance, The Smith's Center's Carillon Tower and Bells send an audible and visual signal to our community that Las Vegas has a new star. Unlike the other dazzling jewels that adorn the celebrated Strip nightly, this one's for us. And it's incredible.
From magnificent Reynolds Hall to Cabaret Jazz and the Troesch Studio Theater, The Smith Center will host the finest performers in gorgeous and acoustically amazing surroundings that offer a waiting Las Vegas audience the type of entertainment they've yearned for in their own backyard.
Through The Smith Center, a dream now realized, Las Vegas has given the valley's next generation a stage on which they can create their own dreams in the desert.
