Item Description
Four tickets to Ganesh Versus the Third Reich (Thursday, May 16 - Sunday, May 19) at the Museum of Contemporary Arts.
Australia's Back to Back Theatre challenges preconceived ideas about disability. The ensemble is comprised of people with disabilities and the story begins with the elephant-headed god Ganesh travelling through Nazi Germany to reclaim the swastika, an ancient Hindu symbol.
The story of a young man inspired to create a play about Ganesh, the god of overcoming obstacles, is intertwined. He is an everyman who must overcome difficulties and defend his play and collaborators. The performance asks the audience to examine who has the right to tell a story and who has the right to be heard.
