Item Description
Take a unique private tour of Old North Church and climb the 191 foot steeple.
Old North Church, Boston’s oldest standing church, is one of the country’s most beloved national landmarks. On April 18th, 1775 two lanterns were hung in the steeple of the Old North Church, signaling that British troops were marching toward Lexington and Concord.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote the immortal poem “Paul Revere’s Ride” after climbing the steeple of the Old North Church. You too may be so inspired after your climb up the steeple on a tour led by the Vicar of the Old North Church.
The private Behind the Scenes Tour will take up to EIGHT people to parts of the church inaccessible to the general public, including:
* the church crypt, which contained over 1,100 bodies,
* the bell ringing chamber, where Paul Revere helped found the church’s bell ringing guild, and
* the 191 foot tall steeple.
