A number of Chesterbrook families have asked how they can best support Chesterbrook Elementary School. In response, the Chesterbrook PTA has created the Friends of Chesterbrook program to enable families to support the school by becoming a Friend of Chesterbrook. 

Last year, Family Friends raised more than $20,000 with 47 of approximately 500 families contributing to this program. NEW THIS YEAR - we have an anonymous donor who is willing to match any first time donor’s contribution dollar for dollar up to a total of $5,000.  So, if you have not joined Family Friends yet, this is the year to do it since every $1 you contribute will be worth $2, thanks to this generous challenge from a Chesterbrook family.  In addition, if you or your spouse works for a company that matches charitable contributions by employees your support to Chesterbrook PTA can also be doubled!   It’s that easy.

With your support, we hope to be able to continue to provide an outstanding education and elementary school experience for our children.  The PTA supports many worthwhile programs including:

• Grade based academic grants
• Important staff development and supplies
• Field trips
• Keeping up with technology, including new and upgraded computers, classroom sound fields, overhead projectors and interactive whiteboards
• Music and PE equipment
• Community-building family fun events
  

Given the serious budget limitations currently faced by the county and our school, we need your generous support more than ever.

Importantly, 100% of the proceeds from Friends will be available to help the school and any contribution is tax deductible to the extent of the law since Chesterbrook PTA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Tax ID #54-1268479. 

Knowing that our children attend one of the premier elementary schools in Virginia, this program was designed to help Chesterbrook maintain its excellence in light of the budget pressures faced by the school administration.  We recognize that many families may not have time to devote to PTA activities. This program allows those families to participate by supporting PTA efforts financially. 

Also, if you or your spouse happens to work for a company that might be able to support Chesterbrook, we have Business Friends of Chesterbrook Elementary School that helps companies receive significant recognition for their support. This is separate from our Friends of Chesterbrook. Business Friends who donate $250 or more get the benefit of being seen on the left banner of our website and in our PTA school newsletters online.
