Internationally-celebrated soprano Renée Fleming is one of the most beloved and celebrated musical ambassadors of our time. Known as “the people’s diva,” and named 2012 Singer of the Year by the German Echo awards, she continues to grace the world’s greatest opera stages, concert halls, and other media. Ms. Fleming recently hosted a wide variety of television and radio broadcasts, including the Metropolitan Opera’s Live in HD series for movie theaters and television, and Live From Lincoln Center on PBS.
As a musical statesman, she has performed on numerous distinguished occasions, including the 2006 Nobel Peace Prize ceremony; the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games; and on the balcony of Buckingham Palace in the Diamond Jubilee concert for HM Queen Elizabeth ll.
In 2009, Ms. Fleming was featured in the televised We Are One: he Obama Inaugural Celebration at the Lincoln Memorial. A three- time Grammy award winner, Ms. Fleming won most recently in 2010 for Best Classical Vocal Performance She is a passionate advocate for literacy. Her own book, The Inner Voice, (2004) is an intimate account of her career and creative process as a classical singer.
Mandy Adamick is a digital artist who creates black and white photography collages. She uses her own photos as a base before manipulating them into an abstract layered design. Through her company, Madcanvases, she has designed works featuring almost 100 Chicago landmarks.
