Item Description
This beaded wire creation showcases a colorful chameleon in the process of climbing a wire palm tree, searching for prey. The chameleon is made of tiny beads, in hues of bright green with maroon dots. Its eyes are bright red beads protruding on either side of the head. Hungry, its tongue, also colorfully beaded in bright orange and green beads, is fully extended, while it is keeping its balance with its prehensile beaded tail.
This is a charming work of craftsmanship, made by 22 year old craftsman, Tendai. He is considered to be one of the most talented artists doing this kind of work and he was commissioned to create a large American eagle for the US Embassy in Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. Masterful in itsdetails, the piece denotes a sense of observation and a love of nature. A perfect gift for a young child interested in nature!
